Hewing Hotel
A few years ago, soon-to-be Hewing Hotel co-owner Tim Dixon showed up in our backyard for an evening of sauna. We remember it clearly because he brought the firewood — a truckload of it. We had an epic sauna session at The Firehouse, culminating in Tim’s conviction to put a sauna on the rooftop of the hotel – and we committed to bring it to life once it launched.

We’ve been fortunate to partner with the hotel ever since, creating guided Thermaculture sessions featuring their unique rooftop, stadium-style sauna. Designed to host groups of 20+ for traditional thermic therapies such as Finnish Vihta Whisking, and German sauna steam and aromatherapy sessions known as Aufguss – the rooftop also features a heated pool, and an epic Minneapolis skyline not five blocks away.
In January 2020, Stokeyard Outfitters and the Hewing continue their partnership with Thermaculture Thursdays, Steam Medleys, Aufguss with Alex, and adding more guided experiences throughout the year.

Program Information
CURRENT OFFERINGS
Must be 21 years of age or older to be on the rooftop.
Locker room and showers available.
Bathing suit required at all times.
Flip flops recommended – cold water on site.
Please rinse in the shower before using the sauna and/or pool.
Please bring 2 towels for Hewing programs— 1 for your bench seat, another for drying.
Sorry NO REFUNDS. Hewing Hotel program space is limited – 22 seats – and fills up fast. If you register for a spot, please be prepared to use it or lose it.
The full rooftop bar and menu is available for guests to enjoy after their steam rounds. No outside food or beverages allowed at any time.
